Analysis of the race:

Ancient Astronaut won last time over 6f at Thirsk.  Jason Hart can not ride today as it is an apprentice race, David Egan takes over and is riding very well at present, he is probably the most experienced rider in the race, and this young boy rides very well.

The ground at Newmarket is officially soft at the moment, I don’t think this will hinder the selection too much as he has form on a soft surface and won on good to soft as a two year old.  I think this horse will be hard to beat.

Today’s free tip: Clondaw Banker

Race: 3:05 Kempton

Current odds: 9/4

Analysis of the race:

Clondaw Banker has ran well at Kempton recently over fences.  He is also a course winner of a bumper, so likes going right handed. Nicky Henderson has his horses in good form at present, plus this horse is well handicapped on his hurdle form.  I think this horse can win today, as long as we don’t get too much rain !

No Tip today – I don’t see anything that I am going to have an interest on.

Analysis of week past as follows:

Good week betting  with the May Chester meeting always being very informative for future big races for the rest of the season.  I think the horse to follow from Chester could be Enable, she won very well and the first two pulled clear of some smart fillies, which is always a good sign.  Enable will probably be going for one of the top fillies races, maybe the Oaks, although John Gosden has a number of decent fillies to choose from.

Ride of the week:

Ryan Moore on Deauville in the sporting bet.com Huxley Stakes, brilliant ride, got the horse in a nice rhythm in front, always a good position to be in on the tight turns of Chester.  He got a breather into the horse about 3 furlongs out, before kicking for home.  Poets Word ran a very good race in second and it would be interesting to see these two horses meet again, possibly at the Royal Ascot meeting.

Race: 6.40 Ascot

Analysis of the race:

Mori is well bred daughter of the great Frankel, her first start last month over 10f was encouraging, she will improve for that and is expected to win today. Her stable is in fine form and with former champion jockey Ryan Moore on top she will be very hard to beat.

Analysis of the race:

Ran good race at Sandown recently when second to an improved performer , can possibly get a soft lead today, Ryan Moore knows this horse well and the stables horses are flying at the moment, I really fancy this horse to win.
