29 December 2020

Good to get a winner for my subscribers yesterday. Lomu 6.35 Newcastle was advised at 11/4, he was supported in the betting into 5/2 before getting the better of his rivals in the last race. I have a couple a few horses I like today, with testing ground due to rain it will be pretty hard work at most of the racecourses today.

One horse for followers today to back is Saint Roi 2.25 Leopardstown. He was unlucky not to win last time, when I thought Mark Walsh made a mess of it. Walsh is on board again today, so hopefully he will not get his mount trapped in behind rivals today, as he meets Abracadabras who beat him that day, on the same terms as the last time they me, so it it is closely matched race.

28 December 2020

A good couple of winners for followers over the Christmas/Boxing Day racing. Margaret’s Legacy in France and yesterday Third Time Lucki obliged at Kempton. Today a lot of rain around has made the going very testing at most of the racecourses. Looking at the remaining races today, The Big Getaway looks to make up for a below par run last time in the 3.00 Leopardstown. He jumped well enough that day, but got very tired, he has plenty of class and should win this. I also thought a couple of potentially nice mares line up in the 2.00 Catterick. Anythingforlove heads the betting market at around 4/5, she won well on her last run, but her main rival Sashenka is getting 7lb, so should give her a real race.

More tomorrow.

25 December 2020

Having looked at a good amount of the racing for Boxing Day. Some really good racing at Kempton Park. The first race at 12.40 has Third Time Lucki heading the betting market, a strong traveller who should have the speed to travel in his comfort zone. And I think he has a strong chance of winning this, with his likely main threat being On To Victory, who receive’s weight. Third Time Lucki was given a poor ride last time he ran when second at Cheltenham, I would think Harry Skelton got a serious rollocking from connections, I like Harry Skelton as a jockey, but his ride at Cheltenham on this horse was awful, he should of won, as he and the rest of the jockeys who rode in that race, let the winner have a lead that was far too easy, and in very soft ground, it is virtually impossible to make up a lot of ground on your horse, without taking away the effort required at the business end, on quicker ground it does not take out so much of the finishing effort.

In the 3.35 Switch Hitter who is around 7/1 generally has a decent chance, in a competitive handicap hurdle. He is improving, although he will need to take another step forward here to win again. So a few to look out for at Kempton.

Anyone interested in having a bet today, Margaret’s Legacy 11.45 Cagnes-Sur-Mer has strong claims to win again, she was an easy winner at the track recently, and the second and third that day went on to win next time, so the form has been boosted. She made the running last time, and if allowed a cosy time in front, she will be difficult to pass.

22 December 2020

Another good winner for my subscribers today, following a good winner yesterday with Duty Of Care at Newcastle. Today I advised Silent Revolution 3.35 Huntingdon, who got back up to win when headed over 2 furlongs out in the National Hunt Flat race. He did well to win, as he seemed to run green, and wanted to drift to the left in the latter stages of the race.

Hopefully I can get my subscribers past the £2000.00 profit this month, as currently on £1978.00 !

A fantastic month so far, 9 WINNERS from 13 selections, and with luck could possibly be my best month so far.

No racing in the UK and Ireland until Boxing Day, hopefully I can give my followers a winner from one of those meetings.

19 December 2020

Most of todays racing already over. At Wolverhampton 6.30 tonight, Thrill Seeker should be good enough to win. He is around evens with a few firms, and this horse looks the one to beat, in what looks to me a pretty average race. He drops back to 7f tonight, from 10f last time. He ran ok over 10f behind a useful sort in Real World, who was unlucky not to win on Thursday at Meydan, where he blew the start.

I was surprised to see Caribean Boy run so poorly in the 1.15 Ascot, he never really looked happy, and faded to be a well beaten 3rd of 3. Maybe something will come to light on his poor run.

17 December 2020

Heavy ground at Exeter today. Karl Philippe 1.05 will handle the ground and on his first run over timber today he can win. He was a good winner of his two bumpers and looks progressive. At Chelmsford in the 4.55 Melody Of Life can step forward from his run at Kempton, when he stayed on well to be third, todays extra furlong should help this big horse, who was very green at Kempton, but did well as he started from a bad draw that day. At Deauville 3.07 Honour And Pleasure could well get the better of Alikova in the maiden on the fibresand surface, having been a strong finisher last time when third, he should benefit from that run and has proved he handles the artificial surface, his biggest issue is stall 14.

16 December 2020

A good winner advised for my subscribers yesterday. Friend Or Foe 3.05 Wincanton made it 7 Winners from 10 advised bets already this month, with a profit of over 17.38 points (£1738.00)

A good profit for a monthly fee of under £100 !

I’ve not advised one today to my subscribers yet, a couple tonight at Kempton of interest. It was sad to see Fortune Finder fatally injured in the 2.45 Lingfield, he looked as though he broke his leg, and was quickly pulled up by his rider Ryan Moore as he passed the winning post on the first circuit. Very soft ground at Ludlow, the last race is a bumper. Let Bateau has drifted slightly in the betting, decent money for Extraordinary Man from 25/1- 11/2 currently.

14 December 2020

A couple of good winners over the weekend for my subscribers. Profit at over 12 Points (£1200.00) so far for December. Cafe Sydney was advised yesterday at 3/1, she stayed on well under the excellent David Probert to get the job done in the 3.20 at Lingfield. Hopefully I can keep the good run going for the rest of December.

At Kempton today, Defined 4.00 has racecourse experience on his side. He could well make that count and he is the one to beat in what could well be an interesting race, with the unraced Charlie Appleby horses expected to run well, both of his are well bred and the betting market suggests King Of Tomorrow is the one that the Gosden horse has to beat.

12 December 2020

After some decent racing today from the jump meetings. At Cheltenham the big negative run was by Goshen 3.00. He clearly has something amiss with him. He raced keenly, but was a spent force when asked to go forward over two flights from home. Not too sure what he has wrong with him, but he is a horse to avoid at the present.

Tonight we have racing on the level at Wolverhampton. Kath’s Toyboy 6.45 has a good chance to get off the mark. He drops to 5f today, but travels well in his races and everything that has already ran, are nothing special. He very likely has the unraced Donny Marlow as the one to beat, who has attracted support in the betting market. But I am tempted at 11/10 with the favourite, who has racecourse experience on his side.

5 December 2020

Late blog today. I said I would try and give a winner for followers today. Top Rank currently 5/4 without the favourite in the 8.00 Wolverhampton looks very tempting. On a day when numerous odds on shots were beaten. Pyros 4/7 and Grand Mogul at around 4/9 were both well beaten at Sandown. A few more around as well as Sandown.

I did advise Slip Road at 6/1 each way in the 3.07 Chepstow to my subscribers. So nice to get them a good winner, the James Bowen ridden horse, jumped poorly in the main, but still managed to win. Once he gets his jumping sorted out, he will be a useful horse for former jockey Sam Thomas, who has had a nice few winners of late.
