Update: 3:40pm

A lot of rain has fallen at Ludlow, I am not having a bet.  So no tip advised today, more tomorrow.

Another good winner yesterday at Newton Abbot, With Discretion absolutely bolted up, despite drifting to 11/4, not sure what the drift was for, she is a decent mare, and will win again.

Today I have nothing appealing as yet, a horse running in the bumper at Ludlow could take some beating, but the stable runners are out of form, so no bet as yet.  I will try and do an update mid afternoon with something.

Great to see Linganno Felice win yesterday at Market Rasen, he made all the running, tactics won the race , he got a soft lead and the danger Thistimenextyear could not make up the ground, we knew he would be held up at the rear.  My tip Blu Cavalier also won well at Wincanton, backed from 11/8- Even money, he is really improving.

A,lightly raced mare, she won well last time at Towcester.  She will handle the ground fine, and can win this race. Sensulano is dropped in grade today from her last run, she looks the one to beat, I just think With Discretion looks the type to progress a fair bit for her win last month, her trainers horses are in good form.

Nice winner last night, Ghostwatch obliging at 2/1 at Wolverhampton. Today I am hoping Linganno Felice can win at Market Rasen 2:25, he is owned by my wife in partnership with her father, he ran a good race at Carlisle when third recently, if he relaxes (he can be keen) he will be tough to beat, fingers crossed !

A winner of his last two races, he won very well last time, with amateur Mr L Williams again riding today, this improving gelding can complete his three timer. He likes going right handed and will be fine on the ground. Of rivals, Malachite is the one to beat, he showed an improved run last time, the step up in distance really suited him that day, Stylish Moment is a promising horse, who will be in the mix.

I am still very keen on Sky Gypsy tonight at Wolverhampton 6:30, she has been backed into around 5/4 at the moment.

This  horse ran well as a two year old over 1m.  He steps up to 1m 4f today, which on breeding should be no issue, he can improve a lot from his two year old runs and be hard to beat.  Of rivals, Returning Glory  was 2nd over 1 mile on debut , he showed some fair ability that day but raced keenly, I’m not totally convinced he will stay 1m 4f, if he does he should be in the mix today , I just think my selection will be too good. Elgin, is a very useful hurdler, that won a bumper as a young horse, he could well be the one to beat, he makes his late debut on the flat.

I thought my selection was going to win today, slight mistake at the last did not help, he still ran a good second, he is a horse to follow, I think he can win again before the end of the season, as long as he gets decent ground.

I am putting a horse on this evening as it is at Wolverhampton, so no going changes.  I will do an update tomorrow morning.

A very easy winner last time over course and distance, this filly really won well, an 8lb rise for that win,  I cannot see that stopping her winning again tomorrow.  She has a very good claimer again riding her, she will hopefully make all, as she did when winning last time. Of rivals, lots with chances , but I think if this filly is anywhere near to when she won last time, it’s a penalty kick !

A good winner at Newbury recently, that was this gelding’s first run after ‘wind’ surgery.  I think he can win again today , he showed a fair bit of promise before his surgery, but a lot of improvement on his latest run.  He likes a bit of cut in the ground, and this big unit looks ahead of his mark of 123. Of rivals, Sir Will is genuine, he has a useful claimer on top, and is likely to be the main threat.  Spiders Bite and Uncle Alistair are others that have been in good form of late, they have a good chance of being in the mix, I think my selection will be too good today, he has the excellent Noel Fehily riding again, he won on him at Newbury , so knows how to ride him.

Nice winner with Shiekha Reika obliging at Newmarket. She was heavily backed into 5/4 from early prices of 7/4.   I am not getting involved at Newcastle as I am fancying two in the same race ! So not advising a bet later.  More tomorrow.

Three good runs as a two year old, when second on all three starts for this filly.   She did little wrong on those starts, and this big filly can get off the mark today, she can make her experience count today,  and her run last year when second to Soliloquy was a very good one, she won a Group 3 yesterday.  I think the drying ground will be suitable, and her stable is just running into form.  Of rivals, Playful Spirit is the main threat I think, she has ran well on both starts on the all weather, and should be fine on grass.  Hula Girl showed promise at two, she is another that should run well, Improve is the unknown, she has a good pedigree and has been nibbled at in the early betting.

I will do an updated message around 4:30pm as a couple of horses are of interest at tonight’s evening meeting at Newcastle.

Just beaten yesterday with Symbolization running a good race to be second, beaten a neck, he had every chance of winning, simply not good enough.

I am backing this horse each way, he is consistent, he will like the drying ground and ran a good race recently when second at Lingfield. A winner over course and distance last season at the track is a positive, He likes to get on with things, and if he can overcome a draw which is not the best, he can make use of his race fitness and be hard to peg back, horses ridden prominently ran well yesterday. Of rivals, lots with good two year old form, Nebo had consistent form, including in group races, he should run well, his stable horses have been in form, Snazzy Jazzy comes in off bottom weight, he is unbeaten in three runs, he has to be respected coming from a good yard.

The Aiden O’Brian horses are not firing, he has had 1 winner from his last 23 runners, ( 2 Favourites beaten at Newmarket yesterday) poor stats.  He runs Deauville today 3:00 Newmarket, on his best form I would of backed this horse, but with so many of his horses not showing their best form as yet, I am going to watch rather than get involved.
