Reflecting on the racing at Longchamp over the weekend, it was good to see Daryz lift the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe for the second time. He did not have the easiest of runs, having been shuffled back in the early stages, but he found his feet in the straight and ran out a ready winner in the end. He will probably be retired to stud now and should do well as a stallion.
Today in France, we have jump racing at Auteuil. In the 3.50, I like the likely favourite Lissadel, who is around 2/1 with some firms. He won on debut at this track over hurdles on September 12 and has leading claims of following up under a penalty.
More soon.
