No tip today.  Good to see Jimmy Quinn ride a Group 2 winner for Godolphin yesterday in Turkey.  He does not get may chances in Group races these days, but showed he is still a good jockey who just needs the horse !

This horse won his maiden last time.  Although he has not run for a while, the stables horses had a bit of a quiet spell with horses running below par, so he may have had an issue. Over the last week or so the horses have been flying.  This horses mark of 78 could be a very decent mark and although it is a competitive race, I think he has a very good chance.   I won’t be getting involved if he goes below value (5/2).

Nothing solid today.  An interesting maiden 2.45 Sandown, Sam Gold is fancied, but poorly drawn, also an expensive newcomer of John Gosdens in Emaraaty, he was 2.6 million as a yearling.  A race to watch closely.

A nice winner last night, Mudallel got up late to win at Kempton, I think that he could well win again, he should not get too much of a rise in weight from the handicapper for his win.

This improving filly can win for the third time today, she obviously does not want the ground too firm judging on her form, and has ran ok on her only run on an all weather surface.  I am tempted at odds against but will leave her if she goes to odds on.

Nice winner yesterday at Epsom, Dourado won a shade cosily, backed into 6/4 returned, given a good ride by David Probert, he is a jockey that makes very few errors and one that is slightly underrated.

A recent course winner, winning easily that day and risen 8lb for that win, may not be enough to stop this gelding from winning again.  He may be well in , and I think he can win again.

Having won last time at this track,  Dourado is proven on this tricky track.  He has been raised only 2lb for that win 26 days ago, not enough I do not think to stop him winning again, he is ridden again today by the very good David Probert, who won on him last time, so a lot of boxes are ticked, Lightoller has been running well at present, and is likely the main threat.

As long as the rain stays away from Cartmel, I think this horse will be too good for his rivals.  He has impressed in his 4 starts over fences, looks quite well in off his current mark, I can see him winning well, but no more rain needed!

Nothing solid today. Pleased to see Nakeeta win the Ebor for Iain Jardine yesterday, improved about 30lb since buying this horse from Mick Channon.

Hardest day of the week I always think, finding winners with so much racing is not easy.

This colt has been knocking at the door in two solid Group 2 runs recently, finishing second in both, he looks very honest and at 5/1 I think he has a good chance, it is an open race, the favourite Headway is coming into the race off a below par effort last time, although he was given a very strange ride that day, so maybe best to ignore it.  I do think that lots have chances in this race, but have liked Nebo on his consistent form at Group 2 level so far, the ground drying will not be a problem.

The big Handicap the Ebor is very open this year, Magic Circle won well on Wednesday over 2 miles, and should run well again as he has won twice at York before, drop to 1m 6f today should not be major issue.

Big money fight in Las Vegas in early hours UK time tomorrow, between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor, would be nice to see the Irishman win, but I think Mayweather will be too smart in a boxing match to lose, although McGregor has a punchers chance !

At 11/2 it makes sense to back this horse each way, he has been running well since a recent gelding operation.  With the assistance of Jimmy Fortune in the saddle today, I think this horse has a really decent chance, a few dangers, some going up in grade, the horse at the bottom end of this handicap Slow To Hand is going up in grade for a recent win at Yarmouth, he is a likely danger.
