After another good month of profit for my subscribers, with the current profit of over 4 points. A decent return for a very small subscription cost.

At Salisbury today, a lot of rain has fallen, with the ground riding soft.

Ribhi 3.32 will likely handle the ground ok, he was a shade unlucky on his last run when a running on 5th. i think he has a decent chance of winning, even with his penalty, for his win at the track, even if that was on decent ground.

More soon.

Good racing at Newmarket over the last few days. The most impressive winner i thought of a Group 1 race, was Tenebrism.

Having only her second start in public, and having not raced for 181 days, she overcame her inexperience, and found a turn of foot inside the last furlong, that showed she is very smart.

I would imagine her trainer Aiden O’Brien will have another race in mind for this daughter of Caravaggio, possibly over 6 or 7 furlongs, before the end of the flat season.

If this filly does get further, which she could well do, she is a serious contender for next year’s 1,000 guineas at Newmarket. If that option is taken up by connections.

Today has some decent racing from Epsom, although its a shame we have such small fields in most of the races, but they are competitive. Goldspur 2.20 could not of been more impressive on debut, when he was a very easy winner at Sandown. A different track today, with lots of undulations and ups and downs, but i still believe he has a solid chance of winning this 1 mile and 113 yard event.

At Ffos Las, Nadein 3.45 has a decent chance of winning again, after his win at Catterick 41 days ago. He is a three year old, that looks to be improving.

Looking at todays cards, Beverley starts at 1.20, with a Novice Stakes race for two year olds. Over the minimum trip of 5 furlongs. The draw is key advantage when the ground is riding good or faster, as the runners stay on the far rail. So likely short priced favourite Silky Wilkie in stall 4, has a good starting position. Having been second 4 times, today is probably his best chance of getting off the mark, as it does not look the most competitive of races, although current odds of 11/10 are a bit narrow for punters looking for bit of value.

At Newcastle this evening 7.20, I thought Freedom Charter was a shade of value, he is around 11/4 with a number of firms, and ran well over 7f at the track, that was his debut, and he was doing his best work at the finish. If he stays the stiff 10f, he could well be good enough to beat current favourite Sea King.
