He has to overcome a difficult draw from stall 10, but his main threat has stall 11, so with his experience I think he can shade it from Eaglefield. Later at 3.15 Bolshoi Ballet faces Mac Swiney in a good Derby trial, it will be a good race, with his recent run, the former should have the edge.

At Ludlow Byzantine Empire was an eyecatcher on his debut over hurdles at Newbury. He should come forward for that run and if handling the tricky track should get the better of Olympic Conquer, who has course experience and is the horse to beat.
