Plenty of racing today.  Good to get a winner earlier for my subscribers.  Cable Speed 12.40 Lingfield, scooted away in the last furlong, a slight drift to 11/8, but never really looking in danger.

I thought Gunnery 3.35  Sandown was an easy winner last time.  He could be the one to be with in a quite competitive race.  At Kempton 6.10 Stanford has been running well.  I like his rider, and this horse has the right profile for this event, the drop to 7f should not be too much of an issue.

More tomorrow.

I advised backing Field Of Dreams 6.30 Wolverhampton yesterday (without Strawberry Jack) he was 15/8 at the time, a massive drifter through the day, but it didn’t stop him running a good second to Strawberry Jack, so a winning selection for my subscribers.

Today has two flat meetings in the UK on the all weather, Wolverhampton and Southwell.  Nelson River 2.05 has been withdrawn, making it a penalty kick for Clap Your Hands, he has been improving with racing this last few months, a very easy winner last time. A couple of horses I like later today, I’m just awaiting a bit of information on a couple of things.  A later start for Southwell, Aleef 615 should give a solid account of himself, Samovar is a course winner, but possibly is more effective over 5f than todays 6f trip.

More tomorrow.

2 January 2019

A good end to the year for my subscribers.  December was a 4.31 points profit (£431.00) so pleased to end the year in profit.  A profitable year of 14.21 points (£1421.00).  A tough year, always hard to follow such a decent year of 2018, but any profit is always good.

I didn’t recommend anything yesterday.  Today is quite tricky, a couple tonight at Chelmsford of interest.  The afternoon meeting at Lingfield, Dreaming Away 1.50 should be good enough to get a win. Purdeys Gift 2.55 did not find much off the bit last time, not sure why, as this horse usually does.  If back to his best, he has a good chance of winning.  He tries Lingfield polytrack for the first time, so has to handle that.   Heavy ground conditions at Ayr, still raining at the track, so it will be very hard work for the runners.
