The ground at Wincanton looks pretty decent, Aintree also looks to be pretty decent as well. After two abandoned cards yesterday on the flat, due to waterlogged tracks. At Wincanton in the 3.55, I thought Eritage would be well schooled for his first try over hurdles, he looked a nice type last season, winning gamely on his last run in a bumper, after being bought from France. The Paul Nicholls horses have tended to improve for a run, but his connections could have found a nice race for Eritage here. A few off the flat with ok form, so it will be interesting to see how some of those perform. At Aintree at 3.00 the Newmarket trained Kalashnikov will have to be well tuned to win, as Frodon is ultra consistent, and will not go down without a fight, the ground riding not too soft will probably be more suitable for Frodon, as Kalashnikov has shown all his best form on really soft ground.
More tomorrow.
