Nice winner today with Grand Morning  obliging, he returned at 4/5, and although he only won a neck, I think he is a horse to follow.  He handles winter ground, so could well win again, he can’t get too much weight rise from the handicapper.

I am putting my tip up for tomorrow, as it is on the all weather, so ground changes are not a major concern.  Looking at the snow at Ayr, racing may have problems tomorrow with meetings going ahead.

Horse: Passing Clouds

I am backing this horse each way, he is around 7/1 with most firms.  He has ran well on the all weather this winter, he will appreciate the extra furlong and a half tomorrow, his run at Kempton last time was a solid effort.  He rallied well, after looking as though he was going to drop out, and was doing good work at the finish, that was over 1 mile. His rider knows him, and he is well drawn.  I think he can be right in the mix of his current rating.  Of rivals, Illusional has ability, he was a bit below par on his last run, he has had a break,  and could be dangerous, although he has been running over 6f and 7f, so not totally sure if he will thrive over the trip.  Iconic Sunset is the biggest threat I think, he should have no stamina issues, he has not raced for 104 days, but don’t think that is a negative.  Battle Lines is another to consider with a chance, he beat Passing Clouds in a maiden, although I think Passing Clouds didn’t perform that day to his best, he is stable mate of Iconic Sunset.

I will do an update tomorrow as a couple of other horses running that could be worth a bet.
